With more than 20 years of experience, Kirsten is an expert in estimating the environmental and climate impacts of different agricultural practices and evaluating current and projected future greenhouse gas emissions worldwide. Her assessments help determine which agricultural practices could result in the largest climate and environmental gains. They also assist in developing estimates of the environmental impacts of biofuel production.
Kirsten writes agriculture-related technical documents for multiple clients, 包括美国农业部, the 环境al Protection Agency (EPA), the United States Agency for International Development, 世界银行, 孟山都公司, 和其他人. She also researches and writes reports for USDA on agricultural conservation practices, culminating in technical summaries, 白皮书, 和报告.

Kirsten’s expertise includes technical subjects outside of agriculture. For EPA, she researched and wrote multiple documents related to the Clean Water Act. She also reviewed methods for detecting freshwater contamination, including coliphages and quantitative polymerase chain reaction.
